Louisiana Junior Science & Humanities Symposium

The Junior Science and Humanities Symposium (JSHS) Program is jointly sponsored by the United States Departments of the Army, Navy and Air Force, in cooperation with leading research universities throughout the nation. Students who compete in the regional symposium by presenting their original research are eligible for valuable awards.  At each of the forty-eight regional competitions, three finalists are eligible to receive scholarship awards totaling $4,500 (awarded at $2,000, $1,500, and $1,000). Five regional finalists are awarded an expense-paid trip to the National Symposium to compete for scholarship awards totaling $24,000.
