Sustainable Practices

Sustainability is good business

More than ever, the bottom line for the best-run enterprises is a triple play — profits, planet and people. By focusing on the environment and improving the lives of people, your organization can sustain itself in ways that profits alone cannot. Our Sustainability Management Certificate establishes the business case for an environmentally sound firm. You’ll participate in a five-part program that teaches you the principles of sustainability through interactive exercises, case studies and assessments. If you’re connected to the building or real estate sectors, LSU Continuing Education offers groundbreaking courses in sustainable design and green buildings. Our partnership with the Everblue Training Institute (a U.S. Green Building Council educator) and the LSU School of Architecture brings sustainable practices into the construction arena. You’ll gain valuable continuing education hours, learn what makes a building worthy of the LEED designation (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and, if you choose, prepare yourself for LEED certification exams.
