LSU's Paralegal Studies Program is Louisiana's only non-credit, certificate program approved by the
American Bar Association. Students must complete eight academic courses, a 150-hour internship, Court Day,
and a one-day legal ethics seminar in order to receive the Certificate of Completion. The program can be
completed in one year as a full time student or take up to two and a half years as a part time
student. Most classes are held in the evening. Job placement is provided. Total
tuition is $4,255 plus books.
LSU's Notary Public Preparatory Course prepares you to take the State notary exam, which is given
twice a year in June and December. The instructor is an attorney who has over 16 years teaching experience.
Your tuition includes the official Study Guide. And, LSU guarantees its course! If you do not pass
the State exam after taking this course, you can take it one more time, free of charge!
